Everyone’s Fight is Unique
Becoming a kickboxing athlete, representing Team Blue Blood (Tek’s international, high performance team) or becoming a World Champion are not the only goals on this journey. Your fight may be weekly sparring classes, attending sparring workshops or participating at Tek Competition events. The Athlete Pathway is for any Tek Student who enjoys the competitive aspects of the sport and wants to step outside of their comfort zone.




Tek competitions

Bristol Open 2018
Achieving Junior Grand Champion, 4 x Bristol Open Champion, 2 x Bristol Open Silver Medallists and 2 x Bristol Open Bronze Medallists.

Irish Open 2019
Team Blue Blood at the largest Open International tournament within kickboxing; achieving 4 Irish Open Titles.

Total Honours- 2009
Team Blue Blood with their total honours achieved within their first year of competition.

WAKO Junior & Cadet European Championships 2017
Team GB and Tek Coach Karen Bailey with Team GB Athletes Will Taylor and Fin Heesom achieving 4 European Titles 2017 and Best Male Competitor of the Tournament (Fin Heesom).

WAKO British Championships 2019
Team Blue Blood at the British Championships 2019 achieving 3 British Titles, 3 British Silver Medals and 3 British Bronze Medals.

WAKO Senior European Championships 2018
Fin Heesom in competition at his first ever Senior Championships, achieving Senior European Silver
Medallists.

Irish Open 2014
Gaynor Morgan winning her first ever Irish Open Title.

WAKO Senior World Championships 2011
Darren Chapman becoming the first Team GB Athlete to win a Kickboxing World Title in 15 years.
